Billy Strange: September 29, 1930 - February 22, 2012

Hi Everyone,

I am actually having a very hard time writing this right now. Our wonderful Billy Strange passed away this morning. I have been fighting back the tears all morning, but actually reaching out to all of you with this news is what makes me completely break down the most.

I will let Jeanne (mom), Jonmark, Kelly, Jerry, Rusty, and others chime in when they can. I just thought it important for all of you to have the information sooner than later.

Thank you for reporting this to Billy's fans.  I remember when I discovered this forum in the early 2000s and how awesome it was to have Billy answer my questions and tell his stories.   I had been collecting his albums for over thirty years at the time.  I wish I could have made it to the bash back in 2005.  My condolences to Jeanne and the family.  Billy will always live on in the hearts of his fans.

My prayers and condolences go out to Jeanne and all Billy's family members. I always hoped that I'd get to meet Billy & Jeanne, but I guess that wasn't meant to be. I was fortunate to have a couple of phone chats with him. May he rest in peace.

     I know you all will be busy with loss and love for a bit......wanted to say congratulations to you, though, on your amazing fortune at being such an integral part of such an amazing life.....and also to share a piece with you that doesn't begin to cover it, but, hopefully, touches it just a little.............I'll post the link to your mom's page as well.....

This is such sad news.  My contact with Billy began several years ago when he so kindly gave me an interview about working with Nancy Sinatra and was generous enough to send a photo to go along with the interview.  We corresponded over the years and I always found him to be a true gentleman.  There will be a void in the sound that Billy provided and the talens that he shared.  I am so sorry, and my condolences to his family.
